That's fecking sweet. Having the drum that way around is a nice idea. The ammo would have to rotate by 90 deg before it gets fired though- isn't that a problem?

Yeah, the rotation of the ammo is surely a problem, especially on a machine gun...but it looks so sweet

Just use something similar to how the P90 accomplishes the task. I haven't exactly heard of the P90 having reliability issues with the magazines, except for the rumor of dropping them, but that still isn't a concern on the turning mechanism itself.Either that, or have a smal electric device that flicks the rounds 90 degrees into the chamber, powered by a lithium-ion battery that doesn't need to be changed for over 10 hours :D
